Prince

Recently, one of the most famous singer in the world died. I know personally that I never listened to that type of music. There is a good chance that my dad and aunt have though. Prince died in April 21, 2016. What weird about this year is that a lot of people are dying. For example there was David Bowie, Harper Lee, and a harlem globe trotter died as well.

When Prince died a rainbow appeared over his home. All over the world people wore purple, and lit up purple lights as a remembrance of him. Prince wrote a song called Purple Rain. He is also known for creating a dance inspired by Batman. In his music video he is dressed up as the Joker. What is weird is that he wrote a song based off of his death a long time ago. In a 1984 song called 'Lets Go Crazy'.Prince will never be forgot for the wonderful music he created. He has brought so many people together that he will stay in people's hearts.

A baby on Once Upon a Time!

SPOILERS!! DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE NOT CAUGHT UP ON THE SHOW!!

One of the beloved characters of Once Upon a Time has a child. Her name is Emilie de Ravin. She is an Australian actress. Her baby's name is Vera Audrey de Ravin-Bilitch. That name is a mouthful. This baby has given the world of Once Upon a Time a twist. They decided to make her character, Belle to have a child with Rumple. This makes the plot even better because it shows that Rumple can't be good one minute and be bad the next. Belle and Zelena fall into a portal made my Hades. Belle finds out later in the show that Rumple made a deal a long time ago. When he use to be with his ex-wife Milah, he made a deal that if he takes the potion which will save his son's life, that he will get his second born child. Hades ended up getting that deal later on. Belle was upset and Rumple says that he will handle it with dark magic. This gets Belle even more mad because she says "that isn't what heroes do". Because Belle is reminded that Hades can speed up her pregnancy she gets a sleeping curse from Zelena and puts herself to sleep.

English Class

Hey guys!! So today I am gonna talk to you about my wonderful english class. English is an enjoyable class. The teacher Ms. Ballabio can be fun and she has her funny moments. Anyways, as most people know, I love the show Once Upon a Time. I have a blanket, t-shirts, and hopefully Once Upon a Time converse and pillows. During the last week in March, english class made me want to tie a specific person in a chair and make them watch all the seasons of the show(Once Upon a Time).

I was in English class, when we were talking about symbolism. Our teacher gave us a worksheet and one someone holding an apple. This is the exact photo. We were talking about the meanings of what it could represent. Ms. Ballabio says, "Apples represent temptation. Just like in that show Once Upon a Time."

Right when I heard those beautiful words, I paid attention more than I have ever in my life. She then continues to say, "The person who always has that bowl of apples. But I can't remember her name." Knowing me, I already know the answer it's Regina, Regina Mills, Evil Queen, Stepmother of Snow White, daughter of Cora, etc. So I said, "Do you mean Regina?" Obviously my teacher did not hear me. After she told us to discuss it with our groups. Ian from my table told her it was Regina. Then, and be ready folks, she told us, "I was thinking about Maleficent." I literally died right there. Just like what happened to Rumple, I went to hell and I came back. This was the only thing I talked about during the whole day.

Ms. B if you are reading this. Your a great teacher and your not a crazy obsessed fan like me but I get it. You had one of those days were you got confused. We all make mistakes. I forgive you. But in all seriousness this is not a hate blog, and she is a great teacher and I have made lots of mistakes too.

I WOULD NOT CHANGE MY ENGLISH TEACHER FOR ANOTHER, UNLESS IT IS SNOW WHITE!!

Brother's Birthday

Sorry that this is not my regular blog, but never the less I hope you enjoy!

My brother's birthday was on April 1. He celebrated it by inviting his friends over. Before his friends came, we had to clean the whole house so we got our spring cleaning down too. It took me two hours to clean my sister's room and mine was well. We had expected like 4 people to come plus 4 of our family members, but we were dead wrong. Apparently 12 of his friend came which was a lot.

The party it self was fun because I got to catch up with my aunt and tío. The boys were very loud. They would laugh all the time. They were so tall too! I felt really small. All of the people my bother invited go to ELCO. When it was getting dark outside around 9 p.m. all of the guys went night swimming. It was funny because when they got inside the pool they jumped out because of how cold it was. Then they started dancing. Around 11 pm they decided to play tag in the dark. My mom got really worried though because she thought the neighbors would call the cops because they heard a bunch of noises. They played two rounds of tag.

Overall, I think my brother enjoyed his birthday weekend!

Favorite Characters

Recently, I have been told that I am like Regina. When I heard this it actually made me feel happy because she is my favorite character. Regina is the type of person who does what has to be done when other can't. She has respectful morals surprisingly. Regina stopped seeing Robin Hood for example when she knew that his wife was alive.

Regina has come a long way throughout these season. She has been bad to now a very likeable hero. I like Regina because she is a hilarious character. Regina has a bunch of names for Captain Hook that always make me crack me up. Regina has the best lines in the show. Regina ties the whole show together.

Old Bands

This blog post is not what I would usually do but I hope you enjoy it!

Recently, I have been spending time with my childish dad(which I love) and my determined aunt(who I also love) and they have been helping my expand my music choices. One of the bands I have recently listened to was Sly and The Family Stone. I actually enjoyed one of the songs called Thank You and Dance to the Music. I even watched a documentary about them.  The band was composed of his family and friends. Sly and The Family Stone was a band composed of blacks and whites making it a integrated group. They did all different types of music from: funk, psychedelic soul, rock music. soul music and rhythm and blues. Sadly the star of the band Sly Stone, got caught up in drugs which ended him musical career.

Another artist, that my lovable family has been telling me about is Stevie Wonder. I haven't listened to this artist a lot. Another song I hear a lot is Golden Lady. Stevie Wonder although blind creates amazing music to be honest. He is known for wearing his signature shades. My dad plays Uptight by him a lot. I even here it a lot. I will continue through my musical journey. 

New Shows

Hey guys!! Recently I have been watching new shows on Netflix. Lately, I enjoy watching cooking programs. One of the shows I really enjoy is Worst Cooks in America. The show is about how two professional chefs, which are usually Anne Burrell and Booby Flay, who teach 14 of the worst cooks in America. They go though intense training and in the end two people from each team create an appetizer, entree, and dessert for 3 of the top food critics.  I love the show because you can do some of the recipes they do. When I am watching the show, I found it very amusing because of how the chefs respond and talk to the cooks.

Another show I have enjoyed, was Food Network Star. This show is about how 3 famous chefs pick who the next food network star will be, with help from Bob Tuchman and Susie Fogelson. Though out training they teach them how to act in front of the camera, how to pitch ideas, and how to solve problems that could happen during a live show. I enjoy the show, because it really shows that any one can be a star if they know how to cook and act in front of a camera. I watch a show called Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and the host Guy Fieri was a food network star. The show gives people a chance to express and share their ideas about food.
