Prince

Recently, one of the most famous singer in the world died. I know personally that I never listened to that type of music. There is a good chance that my dad and aunt have though. Prince died in April 21, 2016. What weird about this year is that a lot of people are dying. For example there was David Bowie, Harper Lee, and a harlem globe trotter died as well.

When Prince died a rainbow appeared over his home. All over the world people wore purple, and lit up purple lights as a remembrance of him. Prince wrote a song called Purple Rain. He is also known for creating a dance inspired by Batman. In his music video he is dressed up as the Joker. What is weird is that he wrote a song based off of his death a long time ago. In a 1984 song called 'Lets Go Crazy'.Prince will never be forgot for the wonderful music he created. He has brought so many people together that he will stay in people's hearts.

A baby on Once Upon a Time!

SPOILERS!! DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE NOT CAUGHT UP ON THE SHOW!!

One of the beloved characters of Once Upon a Time has a child. Her name is Emilie de Ravin. She is an Australian actress. Her baby's name is Vera Audrey de Ravin-Bilitch. That name is a mouthful. This baby has given the world of Once Upon a Time a twist. They decided to make her character, Belle to have a child with Rumple. This makes the plot even better because it shows that Rumple can't be good one minute and be bad the next. Belle and Zelena fall into a portal made my Hades. Belle finds out later in the show that Rumple made a deal a long time ago. When he use to be with his ex-wife Milah, he made a deal that if he takes the potion which will save his son's life, that he will get his second born child. Hades ended up getting that deal later on. Belle was upset and Rumple says that he will handle it with dark magic. This gets Belle even more mad because she says "that isn't what heroes do". Because Belle is reminded that Hades can speed up her pregnancy she gets a sleeping curse from Zelena and puts herself to sleep.

English Class

Hey guys!! So today I am gonna talk to you about my wonderful english class. English is an enjoyable class. The teacher Ms. Ballabio can be fun and she has her funny moments. Anyways, as most people know, I love the show Once Upon a Time. I have a blanket, t-shirts, and hopefully Once Upon a Time converse and pillows. During the last week in March, english class made me want to tie a specific person in a chair and make them watch all the seasons of the show(Once Upon a Time).

I was in English class, when we were talking about symbolism. Our teacher gave us a worksheet and one someone holding an apple. This is the exact photo. We were talking about the meanings of what it could represent. Ms. Ballabio says, "Apples represent temptation. Just like in that show Once Upon a Time."

Right when I heard those beautiful words, I paid attention more than I have ever in my life. She then continues to say, "The person who always has that bowl of apples. But I can't remember her name." Knowing me, I already know the answer it's Regina, Regina Mills, Evil Queen, Stepmother of Snow White, daughter of Cora, etc. So I said, "Do you mean Regina?" Obviously my teacher did not hear me. After she told us to discuss it with our groups. Ian from my table told her it was Regina. Then, and be ready folks, she told us, "I was thinking about Maleficent." I literally died right there. Just like what happened to Rumple, I went to hell and I came back. This was the only thing I talked about during the whole day.

Ms. B if you are reading this. Your a great teacher and your not a crazy obsessed fan like me but I get it. You had one of those days were you got confused. We all make mistakes. I forgive you. But in all seriousness this is not a hate blog, and she is a great teacher and I have made lots of mistakes too.

I WOULD NOT CHANGE MY ENGLISH TEACHER FOR ANOTHER, UNLESS IT IS SNOW WHITE!!

Brother's Birthday

Sorry that this is not my regular blog, but never the less I hope you enjoy!

My brother's birthday was on April 1. He celebrated it by inviting his friends over. Before his friends came, we had to clean the whole house so we got our spring cleaning down too. It took me two hours to clean my sister's room and mine was well. We had expected like 4 people to come plus 4 of our family members, but we were dead wrong. Apparently 12 of his friend came which was a lot.

The party it self was fun because I got to catch up with my aunt and tío. The boys were very loud. They would laugh all the time. They were so tall too! I felt really small. All of the people my bother invited go to ELCO. When it was getting dark outside around 9 p.m. all of the guys went night swimming. It was funny because when they got inside the pool they jumped out because of how cold it was. Then they started dancing. Around 11 pm they decided to play tag in the dark. My mom got really worried though because she thought the neighbors would call the cops because they heard a bunch of noises. They played two rounds of tag.

Overall, I think my brother enjoyed his birthday weekend!

Favorite Characters

Recently, I have been told that I am like Regina. When I heard this it actually made me feel happy because she is my favorite character. Regina is the type of person who does what has to be done when other can't. She has respectful morals surprisingly. Regina stopped seeing Robin Hood for example when she knew that his wife was alive.

Regina has come a long way throughout these season. She has been bad to now a very likeable hero. I like Regina because she is a hilarious character. Regina has a bunch of names for Captain Hook that always make me crack me up. Regina has the best lines in the show. Regina ties the whole show together.

Old Bands

This blog post is not what I would usually do but I hope you enjoy it!

Recently, I have been spending time with my childish dad(which I love) and my determined aunt(who I also love) and they have been helping my expand my music choices. One of the bands I have recently listened to was Sly and The Family Stone. I actually enjoyed one of the songs called Thank You and Dance to the Music. I even watched a documentary about them.  The band was composed of his family and friends. Sly and The Family Stone was a band composed of blacks and whites making it a integrated group. They did all different types of music from: funk, psychedelic soul, rock music. soul music and rhythm and blues. Sadly the star of the band Sly Stone, got caught up in drugs which ended him musical career.

Another artist, that my lovable family has been telling me about is Stevie Wonder. I haven't listened to this artist a lot. Another song I hear a lot is Golden Lady. Stevie Wonder although blind creates amazing music to be honest. He is known for wearing his signature shades. My dad plays Uptight by him a lot. I even here it a lot. I will continue through my musical journey. 

New Shows

Hey guys!! Recently I have been watching new shows on Netflix. Lately, I enjoy watching cooking programs. One of the shows I really enjoy is Worst Cooks in America. The show is about how two professional chefs, which are usually Anne Burrell and Booby Flay, who teach 14 of the worst cooks in America. They go though intense training and in the end two people from each team create an appetizer, entree, and dessert for 3 of the top food critics.  I love the show because you can do some of the recipes they do. When I am watching the show, I found it very amusing because of how the chefs respond and talk to the cooks.

Another show I have enjoyed, was Food Network Star. This show is about how 3 famous chefs pick who the next food network star will be, with help from Bob Tuchman and Susie Fogelson. Though out training they teach them how to act in front of the camera, how to pitch ideas, and how to solve problems that could happen during a live show. I enjoy the show, because it really shows that any one can be a star if they know how to cook and act in front of a camera. I watch a show called Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and the host Guy Fieri was a food network star. The show gives people a chance to express and share their ideas about food.

Coming back

SPOILERS!! DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT!!

Once upon a time is coming back in exactly six days. She show is going to take back in the Underworld. We will get to meet Hades who closely resembles the Disney version from the movie Hercules. The Underworld isn't a place for death it is said to be a place for unfinished business.

Lots of people are expected to return the show. Peter Pan is told to return and his unfinished business is to learn that family is more important that youth is not everything. Now although Neal has not be a villian, he has made poor decisions that cost him. He would need Emma's forgiveness for leaving her in jail and making her suffer.  Out of all the people do there Cora would need the most. Not only will she need Regina's forgiveness(which will be hard) but also everyone she has done wrong to. The episode will show on March 6 and it will be a bloody hell good one!

Season 3 Part 2

After Regina casts the dark curse, all of the fairy tale characters appear to be in the Enchanted Forest. On the way to the Queen's castle(which is now Snow's and Prince Charming) they met Robin Hood who tells them that someone else took over the castle. When they reached they castle, Regina soon found out that she had a sister called Zelda aka the Wicked Witch of the West. Zelda tells her how she will get her revenge because Regina got everything she wanted.

Snow and Charming activate the curse so that they can return to Storybooke to find Emma and stop Zelena. While in the real world Emma Swan and Henry are enjoying their new lives but also forgetting their old ones. During their happy lives Hook finds Emma and tries to convince her to drink the potion that will bring back her memory. On top of that Emma also gets proposed to which she declines and he ends up becoming a flying monkey. Emma then remembers, but without anymore potion Henry does not. Emma goes back to Storybooke while making sure everyone keeps the secret from Henry. During that time, Henry becomes close with Killian without know him mom was with him.

Season 3 Part 1(continued)

In this blog updated I will go more into detail about the Neal, Hook, and Emma love triangle that happened after Neverland and in Storybooke. When Emma and Hook are in Neverland, Neal is in the enchanted forest where he meets Aurora, Mulan, and Phillip. While Neal is there he tries to get to Neverland. He ends up going to Rumple's castle and finds a way to get to Neverland. When Neal reaches the castle he also meets Eobin Hood and his gang. Neal ends up trying to get Peter Pan's shadow to take him there. He uses Robin Hood's child to summon the shadow.

When Neal gets to Neverland he sees Felix (who works for Pan) and says,"Welcome back, Baelfire....Pan will be so happy to see you!" In later episodes, Neal ends up meeting his dad Rumple and asks him why he is here. Rumple tells him that he js here to save his grandson. After a while, both of them end up meeting the gang(Snow, Charming, Hook, Regina, Emma).

Harper Lee

People who know me, also know that I like to read a lot. Some people actually say that I need socialize more than reading. On Friday(February 19) one of the greatest authors died. Harper Lee wrote to Kill a Mockingbird. In class we are actually annotating that book right now. What upsets me is that people don't care anymore. Arts in general are fading away in our society.You don't see a lot of painters, or writers even poets. Harper Lee wrote about her experiences and her thoughts. She wrote about a time period in the past.

More than a half-century after its publication, the novel continues to be studied by high school and college students. It has sold more than 30 million copies. It still selling nearly a million copies per year and has been translated into more than 40 languages. The book has even been put into a movie in 1962.

Neverland

          SPOILERS!! SPOILERS!!

     In the series, Rumple was not the only one who has been to Neverland or has made a connection with Pan either. Throughout the series we see the two people who have met him and how it happened Hook and Neal.

     Before Hook was a pirate he was a sailor who worked for the king. He also had a brother who was the captain of the ship Liam. The king ordered them to go to a place and find something but he gave them a picture. When they arrived, they meet Peter Pan. Pan directed them to where the Dreamshade was. Before he left, he warned them that it was a dangerous poison. When Liam touched it to prove than Hook was being paranoid, he slowly started to die. The Dreamshade went through his veins and blood. Pan showed him a lake that could cure the Dreamshade but he had to stay in Neverland. Liam drank it and lived. While they were at sea Liam ended up dying. Hook later turned the crew into pirates and became a pirate ship. Many years later he was trying to find a way to kill the Dark One. He later found himself stuck on the island.

     Neal was in the real world in the 19th century. Pan's shadow, took Bealfire and on the way to Neverland he fell. Hook later rescued him but Bealfire found out that Hook stole Rumple's wife. Bealfire eventually went to Pan. He never liked him and tried to find multiple ways off the island. He was in hiding from Pan.

Season 3 Part 1

SPOILERS ABOUT SEASON 3!! Do not read if you don't want to!!

      Out of all of the complete seasons on Once Upon a Time I would say, season 3 is my favorite. In season 3 you journey to a place that you always wanted to when you were a kid...Neverland. What I like about this show is that they put a twist to every disney classic that makes the show even better. Season 3 Emma, Mary, David, Regina, Hook and even Mr. Gold go on a journey to save Henry who has been taken by people who work for Peter Pan.

     The backstory about Peter Pan is that he needs the heart of the truest believer to stay alive. Neverland was only a place where kids go in their sleep it was not meant for someone to stay forever. Pan is actually Rumple's dad. When Rumple was little, his dad was not the best. His dad was known as the village coward. Rumple wanted him to get away from this place and using a magic bean they wished to go to Neverland. Because his dad was too old he couldn't use pixie dust to fly. Pan decided to stay here but he could live here with his son because his son was a reminder that he wasn't young anymore. Pan decided to give a shadow, Rumple to take him home again, leaving him young again.

     Pan tries to convince Henry that be a "hero" and save Neverland when in reality he will only be making Pan live longer. The whole island is like a death trap. There is a poison that could kill you called Dreamshade. Dreamshade can only be cured if you drink water from a river but you would have to stay on the island. Throughout the whole season Pan does play fair. He gives clues and puzzles for the team to solve but they have to come face to face to who they really are. Once they finally find Henry they try to warn him that Pan is lying but unfortunately Henry believes Pan and allows him to take his heart.

     Ultimately they save Henry and go back to Storybrooke. They later find out Pan enacts a curse to make the town the "New Neverland". Where Emma and Henry leave into the Real World while everyone from the Enchanted forest returns there.

OUAT Season 5

       The show Once Upon A Time has been going strong with 5 season. They have been almost to every place you can imagine. Neverland, Real World, Oz, Canterlot even Arendelle but whats one place they haven't went to....The Underworld. The are traveling to this new realm to try to bring back someone's true love. The Underworld setting is similar to Storybook but their are differences.

   
        In the Underworld you will also get to see old characters who died later in the show. There are rumors that Ruby or Red Riding Hood will show up more in the season. The journey will be difficult because of the rules for the Underworld. You can only open the door to the Underworld with the blood of the dark one and if the moon is at its highest peak. For someone to come back to the underworld, someone must replace them. In the Underworld you might also get to see Milah Hook's old girlfriend who died because of Rumple. The show will continue during March.
