People who know me, also know that I like to read a lot. Some people actually say that I need socialize more than reading. On Friday(February 19) one of the greatest authors died. Harper Lee wrote to Kill a Mockingbird. In class we are actually annotating that book right now. What upsets me is that people don't care anymore. Arts in general are fading away in our society. You don't see a lot of painters, or writers even poets. Harper Lee wrote about her experiences and her thoughts. She wrote about a time period in the past.
More than a half-century after its publication, the novel continues to be studied by high school and college students. It has sold more than 30 million copies. It still selling nearly a million copies per year and has been translated into more than 40 languages. The book has even been put into a movie in 1962.
So, how did you end up liking To Kill a Mockingbird? Do you think you'll check out the movie?
