Amir ends up knowing that Hassan and his wife got killed by the Taliban and had a child Sorhab who is an orphan. Amir goes to get Sorhab, and ends up meeting Assef, one of the kids who raped Hassan and beats up Amir. Sorhab and Amir end up escaping. Amir and Soraya end up adopting Sorhab.
This story intrigued me to the very end. I though it had a wonderful display of karma because in the end Amir was mean and he got beat up. Amir does end up trying to redeem himself. The story put reality into the world because a lot of bad stuff happen in this world and you have to be careful. I would recommend this book to people who are mature. I had intense emotions when I read this book. I felt that Amir deserved to get beat up but I also felt bad because he fell into the temptation. Some news is that Once Upon a Time season 5 is today. This is probably gonna be the best season for the show .It was my birthday this week and I had this awesome cake. I would also like to say that in season 3 of Once Upon a Time peter pan (Robbie Kay) is in an all new show called Heroes Reborn. I have yet to check it out.

It definitely sounds like an intense story. I have placed this on hold with the libraries. I always intended on reading it so your blog has pushed me to go ahead and get it done. I will let you know when I do. Do you know what you will read next? I just finished reading a Dear America novel: The Diary of Clotee, a Slave Girl. I'm also reading the Bluford High series (I really enjoy series, mostly cozy mysteries)
ReplyDeleteThe story was intense and half way through the story, I had to take a break to gather all of my emotions.
DeleteVery well typed
ReplyDeleteI think you summed up the story well, and your summary gave me a good idea about what the story is about.
ReplyDeleteGuess what came in from library holds today - Once Upon a Time, Season 1, all 5 discs. I plan to binge watch but it will have to wait until Monday since weekends are for Football
ReplyDeleteThat must be so exciting!! P.S. if you don't want spoilers than do not read my latest post it is about season 1 of the show.
ReplyDeleteWell glad to say I am making progress. Completed Season 1 today and what is even better is that my holds for Season 2 came in at the library. I must say so many twists and turns in Season 1. I enjoyed the backstories a lot. I have to wonder if Rumplestiltskin's son will make an appearance and how that will be (if it is)
DeleteAnyway, I'm catch up 1 DVD, 1 Season at a time.
That should read: Anyway, I'm catching up 1 DVD at a time, 1 Season at a time
DeleteI am finally starting this. I am actually going to do it via audiobook. We also picked up the movie from the library but I'm one of those people who must do the book before the movie.
ReplyDeleteI finished this audiobook yesterday. I must say I never did warm up to Amir. I just didn't like him. In fact, I wouldn't mind punching him myself. I do think the author did a great job. I will try to watch the movie this week
